Complimentary feed for gumivore species. Feed for all kinds of gumnivorous animals such as: bush babies, fork-marked lemurs, sugar gliders, marmosets and tamarins. Gum is a part of the natural diet of several primate species. Bush babies have 35-75% gum in their diet, besides animal prey and fruit. The diet of Fork-marked lemurs contains majorly gum and furthermore fruit, sap and animal matter (10%). Other species with gum in their diet are marmosets with 5-16% gum, next to insects and fruit. Tamarins have 9% gum in their natural diet, but the major part of their diet consists of fruit and insects. Key Features: A natural gum (also called gum acacia) that is taken from two sub-Saharan species of the acacia tree, Acacia senegal and Acacia seyal. Natural product with a natural brown color. Gum arabic is a complex mixture of saccharides and glycoproteins. High fiber content. Ideal to be used as enrichment material. Instructions: The product comes as a powder that needs to be mixed with an appropriate amount of water and blended with a spoon. A ratio of 1 part water to 2-2,5 parts arabic gum will give a firm structure with three hours drying time. Size: 500g
